About the event

The annual Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Technical Services (QATS) Symposium brings together NHS experts and regulators to give presentations and workshops. The symposium hosts an extensive exhibition and holds a poster presentation competition.

Presented by the QATS Interest Group of the Guild of Healthcare Pharmacists which is compromised from the NHS Pharmaceutical QA Committee, NHS Pharmaceutical Aseptic Services Group and the NHS Pharmacy Production Group, the theme this year will be Celebrating Science in Pharmacy.

The programme is being finalised with keynote speakers and breakout groups including:

  • Human factors in technical services
  • Regulatory Update including common injectable medicine themes in CQC inspections and hot topics and Annex-1 related findings in NHS Specials units
  • Radiopharmacy update
  • Quality Control
  • Contamination Control Strategy
  • Impact of innovative therapies on technical services including cancer immunotherapies
