The NHS England National framework for ustekinumab is due to commence on 1 September 2024. Speakers shared information and guidance to support implementation across the integrated care system. Attendees were able to ask questions.
Why it’s important
Implementation of ustekinumab biosimilar will require collaborative working across the system. Extra capacity may be required to support additional work associated with the biosimilar introduction so that existing services are not adversely affected. Implementation and use of biosimilar medicines offer the NHS opportunities to deliver better value for certain conditions.
