This drop-in session will explore capacity planning and management in aseptic services.
Why it’s important
Capacity planning is a regulatory requirement for both licensed and unlicensed aseptic units. It is a core component of an effective Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS) and an essential requirement of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
An effective capacity plan helps you provide the best possible service to patients, ensuring that safe products are delivered on time.
This session will explore:
- definitions of capacity terminology
- the importance of capturing capacity data
- incorporating quality-related activity into capacity planning
- escalating risks with capacity metrics

The session is suitable for NHS:
- Chief Pharmacists
- Accountable and authorised people
- Aseptic Services and Radiopharmacy teams
- Quality Assurance and production teams

The session will include a presentation and a Q&As session supported by members of the SPS QA team.
