About the event

The annual Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Technical Services (QATS) Symposium brings together NHS experts and regulators to give presentations and workshops. The symposium hosts an extensive exhibition including a poster presentation competition.

This event is presented by the QATS Interest Group of the Guild of Healthcare Pharmacists. This comprises the NHS Pharmaceutical QA Committee (including many SPS team members), the NHS Pharmaceutical Aseptic Services Group and the NHS Pharmacy Production Committee.

The programme can be found on the PASG website.

Share your research or service transformation stories by taking part in the poster competition. You can find information about the competition here.

Why it’s important

This symposium is the event of the year for quality assurance and technical services. It provides key opportunities to engage with colleagues from across technical services and with SPS Quality Assurance team members.

This year is especially relevant as we await the publication of the sixth edition of the Quality Assurance of Aseptic Preparation Services standards and we have seen the change to the pharmacy supervision legislation.
