Provenance

SPS national PGD templates for antimicrobials created by SPS with support from the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), the Advisory Committee on Antimicrobial Prescribing, Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection (ARPHAI), UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and NHS England (NHSE) with the support of specialist stakeholders working within clinical practice.

Published versions

Version 2.0 of this PGD template, valid from March 2027, has been published to allow organisations to undertake local governance processes in a timely manner.

Version 1.1 of this PGD template remains currently valid and will be removed from this page on its expiry (28thFebruary 2027).
